If/when that happens, we'd take turns on guard duty, anyway. No real effort or energy to send a bullet.

Planned on the water and I have a water bladder as well that will remain empty until I need it. I also have 100 feet of paracord handy and will be getting a smaller tarp. I need to invest in a good survival knife too.
Granola bars would be my main food source in it because there is no way I can pack enough for several people for more then a day in MREs lol
My plan would essentially be to get to them first and then worry about the rest later on after I get this much prepared.
I also want a good survival handbook for wilderness survuval

Good start. The US Army Field Survival manual has a lot of good info in it, but you have to read through a lot of useless info to find it.

What kinda of knives do you use in your pack?
I want this pack to be useful in many situations like being stranded in many weather conditions and such

I have everything from a swiss army knife to switchblades in mine. My survival knife is just a basic, one piece design with a paracord wrap for a handle. Picked it up for like $15. Took awhile to get it sharpened, but it holds an edge nicely now.

Mine is my everything bag. I take it camping and everything. Lol.

I've got a small safe cabled to the seat frame in the Ranger. Typically though, I wear my gun. I really only use the safe when I have to go in somewhere that I can't carry.

I do have a cheaper gun that I keep in the center console. I don't sweat it too much in this area. I have my factory alarm and I always lock my doors, so I feel like my gun is pretty safe.

I have no alarm lol
I'm designing a box that will bolt on and lock behind my seat, gonna buy a cheap .22 rifle to keep in it and won't have to work about theft as much if I buy from private party

----------

I'm not old enough for conceal and carry and technically I'm jot supposed to own a handgun lol
I looked at those expandable batons but by the time u bought kne of those I could have my box and a .22 lol

I still have a lot of work ahead of me but felt that I am far enough along to share what I have so far and I will continue to update this thread as it evolves! Thanks ahead of time for checking it out and any advice you have for me!

-Another thing I am researching is what clothing I should keep packed. (other then the usual extra socks, underwear, hat and gloves)

-Another water container couldn't hurt!

-Katadyn Hiker PRO Microfilter (Added to my amazon cart, just need to pay for it lol)

-Wouldn't mind a solar charger and switching over to some rechargeable batteries at some point.

-PAIN MEDS, far from enough in my first aid kit. (In a SHTF scenario I WILL suffer from caffeine headaches if I cant kick the habit soon. Possibly some mild caffeine pills)

-Sharpening Stone

-Maps

-Gun Cleaning Kit

-Snake Bite Kit

-Snare Materials

-More knives?!? Never enough!

Thanks for reading, guys! Appreciate the time and any comments you may have!!

EDIT: Also forgot to mention I'll probably add a Katydyn Base Camp Microfilter that I recently came across for $2 at a flea market as a secondary filter

Mainly food, water, and ammo. When it all goes down im not gonna play by the rules. Ill find some sort of shelter so im not to worried about that. Ill be a loner since i do best by myself, ill always be on the move.

Best advice is know your surroundings and know your weapons.
